How We Work with You

CWW is an active, high profile, member of the Network of International Development Organisations in Scotland (NIDOS) In the International Volunteering sub-group, we have collectively developed a Code of Good Practice for Volunteer sending organisations.

Code Of Practice
You should not work with us unless you are satisfied
that we can adequately respond to the Code of Good Practice Questions

Why pick CWW?
We want you to know you are in good hands which is why we are leading the development of professional standards in international volunteering assignments in Scotland. We are also pushing for greater transparency in the sector - for the last 3 years we have worked in partnership with TimeBank on the Intervol project, to help people distinguish between different organisations and engage in international volunteering in the way which best suits them.

We consider ourselves experts in the field with 7 years experience, sector leading advisors and partners, playing active roles within relevant sector networks and hosting the free 'Ask an Expert' service.

"Unlike many placement organisations CWW matches the specific skills of a volunteer with the needs of a host organisation, this allows one to go on an individual placement and gain a unique experience rather then doing a placement either in a group or going somewhere and doing exactly the same work that many other volunteers have done in the past, i.e. CWW offers more then the typical gap year type experience."
    Hamish - India (3 Months)

“The placement exceeded my expectations in that it demanded more responsibility and initiative than I had anticipated, and which I greatly enjoyed”.
    Bridget - Belize (6 Months)
