The Newly Qualified Lawyers' Programme is a collaboration between the development and legal sectors. Together, CWW and A4ID have merged strengths to create a bespoke programme for newly qualified lawyers.
The programme comprises a variety of in-country placements with local charities and community groups around the world. Each placement is designed to fit within qualification leave and is tailored to suit the skills of newly qualified lawyers (NQ’s). Through the programme, NQ’s are given the opportunity to work on a variety of important initiatives such as ground breaking legislation, promoting international best practice, comparative analysis, research and advocacy. Participants are able to share their skills with those in the developing world whilst enhancing their own expertise through working in new and challenging environments.
CWW has over the past 10 years operated an extensive legal programme for junior and senior lawyers offering support to partners including civil society organisations, social enterprises, social businesses, NGOs, inter-governmental organisations and government departments across all its programme regions.
A4ID provides a specialist service to civil society and developing country governments working to further the MDGs by facilitating the provision of free legal advice and assistance through its network of lawyers. For further information about A4ID, please visit www.a4id.org.
