Eoghan has worked in international development for 10 years, in over 25 countries. He worked as a commercial lawyer for Andersen until he joined CWW full time in 2002. Since then he has achieved award winning status as a social entrepreneur and gained ventures support from UnLtd 'The Foundation for Social Entrepreneurs'.
Eoghan is an avid believer in the economic and community importance of social enterprise, in the UK and overseas, and participates in the DTI's Enterprise Insight campaign, as well as various social capital initiatives in Scotland.
As well as having overall responsibility for running the organisation, Eoghan takes an active role in delivering CWW's work. He continues to develop the direction of CWW in order to pursue higher quality work with maximum impact. He is often overseas providing analysis or consulting services for clients, while in the UK he is a recognised authority on Employer Supported Volunteering.
Eoghan has an extensive professional network spanning areas such as Corporate Social Responsibility, Social Enterprise, International Development and International Volunteering. He has been a speaker at a national event on Employer Supported Volunteering, given evidence to the Scottish Parliament on International Development and participates regularly in smaller gatherings relevant to his expertise.

Daliah has a Masters in Development Administration and Planning from University College London, and has worked in both the private and public sectors in the UK and overseas. She has herself been a volunteer on numerous occasions. From Jamaica, throughout the past 10 years, Daliah has worked in over 15 countries in project planning, performance management and organisational development, working as a Team Leader, Project Manager and Consultant.
Daliah currently manages our busy programme in Belize and also heads our development rights and legislative reform work across regions.

Josefina graduated with a first class degree in Social Anthropology with Development from Edinburgh University. Originally from Central America, Josefina volunteered for NGO's working in Argentina and Mexico to gain experience whilst studying.
In Argentina, Josefina was involved in the Committee for the Review of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) and spent time facilitating discussion between international NGOs. In Mexico Josefina worked for an international NGO which focuses on HIV/Aids programmes across Central America. She was responsible for coordinating one such programme which focuses on street teenagers.
Josefina came to Challenges worldwide initially as a volunteer and is now Operations Officer working closely with our volunteers to ensure successful placements.

Lucy earned her PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Edinburgh. Throughout her university career she was actively involved in volunteering as well as fundraising for various local and national organisations.
Lucy has worked in Southern Africa on several research projects with children. Her main work in Zambia was with Congolese refugees working with children and addressing the impact that receiving food distributions has on lifestyles and relationships. Lucy has also worked with the probation office in Lesotho evaluating the new juvenile justice system. Her experience also includes work with children in the UK and in French Guiana. Lucy joined CWW in 2009 and has responsibility for the new Direct Applicants Program.

Cath first worked in Sri Lanka in 1995 and has been permanently in the country for the past 6 years. She graduated from The University of Hull with a first class degree in Southeast Asian Studies with Development Studies in 2000. She worked for two years in Vietnam designing and delivering a teacher training programme for the Ministry of Education, and then returned to Sri Lanka to work as a voluntary consultant engaged in Organisational Development and Small Business Development. Following this, she established and developed her own charitable organisation and has spent the last 4 years building this to be independent of her.
Her main area of expertise is Disability, and mainstreaming Disability into Development, which she has lectured on at the University of Kelaniya. She joined CWW in 2007 and is the Sri Lanka Programme Manager.

After completing an honours degree in Equine Studies with Management and Marketing Kirsty returned to her native Edinburgh and has spent the last 7 years successfully working in retail customer relations management, HR and recruitment.
Prior to joining CWW to coordinate volunteer recruitment Kirsty managed HR and recruitment functions for a leading medical imaging software company and spent time with the Scottish Parliament, assisting the Justice 2 Committee clerking team. |

|  | Peter Locke : Acting Chair
Peter brings over 30 years research and development and extensive management experience from Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technologies, now specialising in assisting small business facing change management by applying agile practices to business processes. An avid believer in social enterprise, Peter has worked in the community assisting youth groups, schools and universities. By combining methods and processes gleaned from a successful start up software business to multi-national business development and marketing, he is enthusiastic in spreading this knowledge to fuel growth in innovative approaches to building stronger communities in the UK and around the world.

Danny is a solicitor with more than 30 years experience across a wide range of legal professional disciplines. A former VSO in the 1970's, he then maintained an active interest on the East Coast of Scotland upon his return to practice. He has been involved in CWW since inception.

Mel Harris has 13 years marketing and business development experiences across a range of industry sectors for SMEs. Mel has also been a proactive member of JCI Scotland believing in active citizenship and corporate social responsibility. Now an entrepreneur running her own business in training and learning development, The Training Tree, Mel combines her skills in marketing, learning, and International networks to benefit businesses, social enterprises and educational organisations.

Mike is currently Director of Hudson, Scotland. Globally, Hudson is the 4th largest recruitment agency for professionals. It also has a leading talent management business. Mike has been responsible for the development of the Hudson / CWW relationship over the last year at the Hudson end. This move will consolidate the partnership and allow a more integrated way of working to evolve between Hudson and CWW. Mike has 12 years recruitment experience, 7 years with Hudson and 5 years with Michael Page. He currently leads a number of teams for Hudson including Finance, Legal and Sales & Marketing. He also runs Hudson's multi-functional Aberdeen business. He has also managed and led the HR, Supply Chain, Procurement, Technical & Engineering and Executive Search & Selection teams for Hudson. Over the past 5 years he has specialised in recruiting senior level professionals and has pioneered a number of unique recruitment tools challenging traditional recruitment thinking across a range of functions and sectors. He also plays an active role in driving CSR for Hudson and has run The Hudson Challenge for a number of years raising over £100,000 for Scottish based charities. Prior to recruitment Mike worked in marketing as a Product Manager for The Albert Fisher Group plc. |

|  | Frank Kirwan
Frank Kirwan has a 20-year track record in the financial services industry. During his career, Frank has been Group Director of Strategy at the Royal Bank of Scotland Group, and subsequently Director of UK Retail Banking for the Royal Bank itself. He is the Royal Bank of Scotland visiting Professor of Strategy at the University of Edinburgh, where he teaches on the MBA programme. In addition, Frank has worked on a number of VC-backed home and auto insurance start-ups in the UK and US. He is non-executive director or advisor to several companies in the financial sector, including a long tail liability insurer, a bank and two software companies. A recent major assignment was as Programme Director for the demutualisation review of the Standard Life Assurance Company. Until recently, he was Treasurer of Oxfam GB. He is not involved in that capacity with Action Aid. He has also been deputy chair of OSCR, the Scottish Charity Regulator and a former member of the Accounts Commission for Scotland - the 'watchdog' on the economy, looking into the efficiency and effectiveness of local government spending.

Helen is an international development specialist with 25 years experience spanning the NGO, official bilateral, multilateral, research and academic sectors in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, focusing on rural poverty and supporting livelihoods. She's worked in DFID for 6 years as Livelihoods Adviser in Ghana and Nepal. Strategy and programme management, quality assurance, impact assessment and knowledge management have been continuous themes in her work and for the last 2 years she has been working on the overall effectiveness of UK's aid in DFID's HQ. Before joining DFID she worked for 7 years with a development NGO (ITDG) working with country teams in Sudan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Kenya, Peru and Zimbabwe; 3 years lecturing with University of London, 1 year in the UNFAO, 2 years in applied research in South East Asia, and 2 years as a volunteer in Malawi.
