    HR Professional Case Study:
Pat Lakovich – Belize YWCA, Belize City.

Belize YWCA is making an important contribution to the development of Belizean youth from disadvantaged backgrounds. The organisation aims to develop the livelihoods of young people so that they can provide for themselves. To achieve this they provide training programmes and support services from an excellent multi-purpose facility. Their services range from a large pre-school and nursery facility to, HIV/AIDS programmes, and vocational training evening classes.

Pat, a CWW volunteer spent six months working with YWCA creating HR reporting systems and advising on suitable training programmes for staff development. The organisation has now successfully moved from ad hoc planning structures and is able to follow more focussed and long-term plans which has helped them effectively deliver programmes and services.
