The Project:
Purpose of Placement
1. Working with the organisation's Communication Manager to develop a comprehensive marketing strategy and marketing collateral for the organisation's own magazines.
2. Implementing the initial stages of the marketing strategy.
The volunteer would need to work closely with the team at all times.

It is looking for a volunteer who has worked in a consulting environment in a senior role, and is familiar with the organizational development needs of such an enterprise. These inputs would be invaluable for its growth
Duties and Responsibilities
The volunteer would be required to
1. Read, discuss, analyse and synthesise the magazineˇ¦s positioning and branding,
2. Use this understanding to develop the strategy and collaterals with assistance from other members of the organisation

You:
Skills and Experience Required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- At least 3 years of marketing experience
- Proven track-record or qualification in marketing, preferably within a similar role
- Experience of research and planning communications/marketing strategies
- Experience of researching project costs and developing budgets
- Experience of brand building
- Experience of working on publications
- Experience of providing training in communication systems/ techniques
- Experience of writing and producing materials.
- Experience of giving presentations
- Be computer literate with a sound knowledge of MS Office packages
- Self motivated with the ability to work independently
- Professional, flexible, resourceful, adaptable, creative and culturally sensitive.
- Confident, motivated, flexible, enthusiastic and willing to learn
