Noida, India
6 months - Available immediately

The Project:
Purpose of Placement

To develop systems for effective and accountable staff development and leadership that result in measurable outcomes.

Background

This organisation is making a major impact on the development of rural communities in India by helping to alleviate poverty and the lack of access to basic resources and providing information and services through rural IT kiosks. The use of information technology for fast and easy access to the rural market provides millions of villagers with access to competitive goods and services and eases the prohibitive costs of travelling to markets.

The organisation is excellent in service delivery and in the six years it has been operating, has managed to create, sustain and grow a diverse ICT network across 5 Indian states.

The organisation is working with a large number of people - both in their headquarters in Delhi, and through the 'entrepreneurs' they have supported to set up the IT kiosks. They now need support to manage, develop and harness this human resource to enable the organisation to grow and maximise the impact they are making for rural communities.
