The Project:
Purpose of Placement
The Purpose of the position is to support the endorsed strategy as an Organisational Specialist to help expand and covert the Draft Development Strategy of the organisation. The organisation is looking for a qualified attorney to help draft Common Law legislation for the Tourism Development Act.
Background
The organisation, after consultation with the Tourism Industry Stakeholders and the public, has prepared a Tourism Development Strategy Outline, has presented this outline to the Cabinet and has received Cabinet’s endorsement. As a next step forward, the organisation seeks to formalize and implement this strategy. The organisation, under the Institutional Strengthening component of Sustainable Tourism Development Program, invites suitable candidates to participate in a consultancy to develop a formal policy document to support the endorsed strategy, as well as to develop supporting legislation and an implementation plan.
Duties and Responsibilities

To expand and convert the Draft Development Strategy of the organisation into a formal policy document for submission to relevant government authorities, stakeholder groups, international lending organizations, policy groups, and the general public

To draft the underlying legislation that will enable the Strategy of the organisation, Civil Aviation and Culture for submission to the Attorney General’s Office for vetting and for enactment into Law

To design an implementation plan for the institutional restructuring of the various arms of the organisation along the guidelines of the Draft Development Strategy and the newly created policy document.

Skills and Experience Required
The ideal candidate will have:

Qualified to degree level

Experience in draft writing Common Law legislation

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Strong analytical skills

Excellent interpersonal skills

Self motivated with the ability to work independently
