The Project:
Purpose of Placement
Maintain quality department documentation systems and associated filing, logging and processing of documents and quality records.
Background
The organisation was established in February 1997 in the Republic of South Africa at a human rights NGO conference hosted by the Lawyers Committee for Human Rights.
The organisation was established to provide a platform for discussion and advocacy on challenges facing human rights and development in countries of Southern Africa. The organisation-Tanzania Chapter was established in 1998 and performed its activities hosted by one of its member, the Legal and Human Rights Center, (LHRC).
Duties and Responsibilities

Perform Document Control activities including processing of Document Change Orders (DCOs), review, approval, and filing of completed DCOs

Maintain the various quality system files and associated documentation including DCOs, audits, training, etc. Maintain on-line databases.

Coordinate the collection of all associated quality records from manufacturing, installations/servicing, customer support, etc. Maintain on-line database and establish a tracking and reporting system for documents as directed

Provide administrative assistance intra-departmentally for Regulatory and Quality Systems activities. Prepare documentation to be included in regulatory submissions and other quality activities, file accordingly

Provide documentation support to various inter-departmental teams and activities. Work with project team members and independently in support of documentation services needed to achieve planned deliverables and time frames.

You:
Skills and Experience Required
The ideal candidate will have:

Experience in processing, reviewing and filing hard and soft copy documents, preferably within the quality department in a medical device or similarly regulated industry

Experience and understanding of document control practices and related activities

Excellent organization and filing skills, both hard copies and electronic file management

Consistent attention to detail

Effective interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work independently and manage assigned responsibilities and projects
