Background
The organisation is a leading women’s institution of India. They are a non-governmental organization (NGO) working at the South Asia level for the empowerment of women; the improvement of the living conditions of the underprivileged sections of society; equity and sensitization focusing on restructuring of gender relations and the eradication of violence against women and the socio-political and economic empowerment of women. Since 1983, the organisation has been conducting social research; grassroots level capacity building; advocacy and training; and lobbying initiatives.
As a research institute, over the years, a large amount of documents, books and materials have been accumulated in the organisation. These materials need to be systematically organised so that that will be easily accessible to the permanent staff and on-going flow of interns. The organisation is looking to recruit an information and data management volunteer to organise this stock of materials.
